Graduate Work Stream – this stream is for international students who is graduated with skills and qualifications that are listed in the Skilled Occupation List (SOL). This visa is for 18 months. You may be eligible to apply for this visa even if you have completed a certificate or diploma-level course.

Post-Study Work Stream – this is for international student who is graduated with a higher education degree from Australian education provider in any discipline. You are only eligible for this stream if you applied for and granted your first student visa to Australia on or after 5 November 2011. Depending up on the level of study you have completed you will get visa for two, three or four years in this stream.

Following are some of the things you have to keep in mind about applying for this visa:

Age: you have to be 50 years of age or younger to be eligible to apply for this visa.

English: you need overall 6 not less than 5 in each band in IELTS or equivalent in OET, PTE Academic, TOEFL iBT or CAE.

Study requirement: you must study for at least 2 academic years course completed in 92 weeks or more.

Time limit – you must apply for graduate visa within six months of the completion of your study.

Number of graduate visa you can apply: you can only apply for one graduate visa in your life time.
